Created Hardwood Live Edge Cutting Boards are made from a solid piece of hardwood treated with food-safe mineral oil. Being a solid piece of hardwood, our cutting boards are resistant to splitting, cracking and warping with proper care and use. While making a great surface to cut on, they also double as a serving platter for any occasion. They include non-slip rubber feet and our trademark coin, creating a piece that's as functional as it is beautiful.

What is Live Edge?

Live Edge refers to the natural edge of the cutting board coming from the organic shape of the tree.

- Every cutting board is handcrafted with care and attention to detail in Dundee, Ohio by one of our skilled craftsmen and comes with a complimentary bottle of mineral oil.

- Each piece of hardwood is responsibly sourced with 90% of all of our hardwood coming from Northeast Ohio.

- Product images are stock photos. Due to the nature of a natural wood product, no two pieces of wood are exactly the same, and the actual appearance of your cutting board may differ in character, color, and grain pattern.

Care Instructions for your Live Edge Cutting Board:

- Caring for your Created Live Edge cutting board is quick and easy and will keep it looking great and in prime condition for years to come.

- Hand-wash with hot, soapy water and dry thoroughly.

- Do not submerge the board in water or put it in the dishwasher. This can cause premature wear.

- Prevent your cutting board from drying, bleaching, or cracking by applying mineral oil once every 3-5 weeks, depending on climate conditions and elevation. Observe your cutting board over the first month of ownership to gauge the necessary application frequency.

- To apply, spread the oil evenly over the entire surface of each side with a cloth or paper towel and allow the board to absorb the oil. After five minutes, wipe off the excess.

Each piece of Created™ Hardwood is hand-selected, air- and kiln-dried, sealed and finished to ensure the highest level of quality and durability. However, a piece of wood never truly “dies”, and variations in temperature and humidity can cause wood to expand and contract. Small splits are not unusual, and sometimes seal themselves with climate cycles. Resin fills are also susceptible to minor cracking and separation as a result of the wood’s movement. These are normal occurrences associated with solid wood furniture, as are dings and dents, and should be considered added character rather than damage.
