Why Choose a Live Edge Cutting Board?

Not only is a live edge cutting board a beautiful addition to any kitchen, but wooden cutting boards also help your knives last longer. Natural wood is a more resilient surface to the edge of a blade, helping prevent any dulling of your knives. A live edge cutting board also makes a great decorative centerpiece in the kitchen. It can also be used as a gorgeous charcuterie board, a beautiful appetizer display, or a cheese board that enlivens any dinner table or buffet.

Caring for Live Edge Cutting Boards

When cared for properly, a live edge cutting board can last you a lifetime. When cleaning your board, it's important never to submerge it in water or use a dishwasher. Instead, use hot water and mild soap and wipe it down right after using it. For strong smells, use a lemon and salt rub on your board. Stains can be removed with a water and baking soda mixture. Whenever your board dries out, or about every 3-5 weeks, be sure to apply a coating of food-grade mineral oil and then wash as usual.

Function Plus Beauty

Live edge cutting boards are extremely functional and bring the beauty of nature right into your home, making them superb presentation boards. Whether using it as a chopping board or a serving board, you'll find that our natural edge boards introduce both traditional and modern aesthetics into your food prep and eating spaces.

Which Wood to Choose?

Our wood slab cutting boards come in a variety of beautiful wood types. Maple boards are a neutral light yellow to brown color, while walnut and sycamore boards reveal more light and dark brown shades, with hints of red in sycamore boards.
